Southern Solar was established in 2025 by Guy Guarracino. His ongoing mission is to try and provide a more honest and reliable service for everyone thinking about going solar, especially those who may have become put off in the past by pushy sales people. By overseeing the process personally he ensures that the consultation, design, survey, installation and after care of the following products is of the highest possible standards.

Our Director's Story
Guy has been an electrician and general builder since 2016. Before this, he worked in sales within the technology sector. However, over time he had gradually become disillusioned with the role, and felt uncomfortable with the pressure to convince people to buy products he neither believed in nor felt they genuinely needed.
He decided to re-train as an electrician after developing several properties including his current home. He takes great pride in his attention to detail – unfortunately he has seen first hand some of the poor standards of workmanship and customer service in the construction industry.
After several years as a domestic electrical installer Guy became interested in sustainable energy and developed a strong belief that this is where the future lay due it’s capability to genuinely benefit people financially whilst helping the environment. However, Guy recognised the widespread frustrations customers often experience with larger companies—characterised by disorganisation and a lack of personal touch. Seeing the opportunity to make a difference, he established Southern Solar to deliver something better. He prides himself on his excellent and transparent communication skills and his ability to forge great relationships with customers. He is dedicated to ensuring that Southern Solar provides its customers with an honest, reliable and quality service.
At Southern Solar we are passionate about providing exceptional customer service and always ensure that all technical questions, whether they be electrical or construction related, are handled promptly and with care.
